Wednesday Nov. 12th:
The Story Behind the Beret
co-hosted with Kappa Alpha Psi
w/ Young Lord Jose "Cha-Cha" Jimenez
and Black Panther David Lemieux
Thompson Recital Hall 5:30pm

For the past two years the Elegua Chapter has been working to bring the Young Lords and Black Panthers to campus as we believe that it is an important history to discuss in the midst of recent racial conversations. And finally we got the opportunity from allocation. So we teamed up with the Xi Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi to bring you Founder of the Young Lords, Jose "ChaCha" Jimenez, and former Black Panther Historian, David Lemieux. Come learn of a revolutionary history.

Thursday Nov. 13th:
Project HYPE
The HUB from 11:30am-12:30pm
Last Caller wins a Swag Bag

Sooo.... you're gonna need an iPhone/iTouch for this one. The iOS 8 update for Apple has brought about Voice Messaging.
Here is what you do. You come to the HUB to pick up our number [it's probably gonna be Jonathan's ;) ] and you send us a voice message about what you're HYPE about (graduating, winter break, you're sister's wedding, etc.), some major goal or aspiration.
Our last caller within that hour (11:30am-12:30pm) will win all of the merchandise/handouts we have for the weekend (trust us, they're good).

The Movement to Freedom
w/ Luna Formado Emanuel "Soso" Chacon
from Swift Motion
5:00-5:30pm | History of Capoeira Lilly Rm 2032
5:30-6:30pm | Capoeira Workshop Lilly Rm 2033

Do you know what Capoeira is? Is it a dance? Is it a martial art? Well, we got Luna Formado Emanuel "Soso" Chacon (you may know him as Manny or E-man) from Swift Motion to come down and teach us not only the history of Capoeira but to also teach us a few moves.

Friday Nov. 14th:
Monon Manhunt
Meet at the Boulder | 4:30pm
*remember to dress warm*

So we wanted to bring back an old classic, man hunt. It's a grown up twist to freeze tag and hide and seek.
You have two teams. One hides, one seeks. DePauw's Campus is your playground. If you are found you run back to base camp. Once the entire team is found, teams switch.
Dress warm and bring a friend. It'll be fun when it gets dark.

Saturday Nov. 15th
The Kickoff
cosponsored by the Multicultural Greek Council
LSU House from 10:00am to 1:00pm

The Monon Game is an away game this year (it's happening at Wabash). But never fear, if you cannot make it to the actual game, come over to the LSU House and get to chill with the Multicultural Greek Council at DePauw University.
We are having Casa Grande cater. Music playing. Hot Chocolate Stemming. Video games playing. And the Football Game on the BIG SCREEN.

50 Shades of Blue
Social Center B
10:00pm-2:00am

Come celebrate not only the culmination of our weekend but our TWO YEARS at DePauw. Two years ago, on Monon Weekend, we started from nothing. Two years later, because of your support and encouragement, we want to celebrate with you.
We have DJ Handful coming down all the way from New York to give you the greatest time we can provide.

Thanks for these two years.

Here's to many many more!
